Effective April 1, 2012:  Mahube-Otwa Community Action Partnership

Effective April 1, 2012, Mahube Community Council, Inc. has been named the Community Action services provider for Otter Tail and Wadena counties by the Office of Economic Opportunity at the Minnesota Department of Human Services.  Up until this date, Community Action services had been provided to residents of these two counties by Otter Tail-Wadena Community Action Council, Inc.  To reflect our new service area, Mahube Community Council has changed our name to Mahube-Otwa Community Action Partnership.  A new board of directors is being formed that will include representatives from Otter Tail and Wadena counties.  Of course, this new board will also include representatives from Becker, Hubbard and Mahnomen counties.

Mahube-Otwa is a private, non-profit Community Action Agency which uses its programs as a base for increased community concern and greater community commitment toward combating poverty. Our staff, volunteers and community partners are vital to helping us succeed in carrying out our mission. Together, we make a difference in people’s lives.
